Try the sun tea recipe for fruit flavored tea. The slow brewing of the sun greatly enhances the fruit flavor.
  • Sun Tea - Put one gallon of water in a glass container, add 1/2 cup of tea to the water, stir.  Place in sun for six hours. Strain off tea leaves by pouring tea through a sieve into another container. Add 3/4 cup of  sugar or equivalent sugar substitute (more or less to taste), mix until sugar is dissolved. Makes a clear brew with a great flavor!
  • Hot - Put one quart of water in a sauce pan, bring water to a full boil. Add 2 tablespoons of tea directly to pan, or use a large tea ball. Steep only 3 minutes. Strain off tea leaves by pouring tea through a sieve into container or remove tea ball. Refrigerate until cold.
  • Hint - Two tablespoons of tea per quart of water adds additional tea   flavor to stand up to ice. If you want even more flavor, add more tea, not additional brewing time.                           Return to Iced Teas
